It's Wednesday morning, and I am waking up to an alarm that I would rather not be going off at all, it's like this. Even though I can Zoom, get a workout in, see the people that I see every week, my friends, the people that will never judge me, the people that will always lean in for a hug, it's not the same, it's like this. The sun that was here yesterday, making my room as warm as a blanket, has been replaced by a steady drizzle of water that drips slowly off of the side of my house. It builds into drops and then hangs ready to fall off the edge of my roof as slowly as some of the days have passed in the last month, it's like this.
I can't stand in front of my students talking about things that I love to share, I have to sit at my computer waiting for a notification that someone has done some tiny task that I can click a box to show that I know that they did it instead, it's like this. But I know that it's like this, I know that I can do what I can to become a better teacher while the day drags on. I can find things to make myself happy, to move forward with projects, to look forward to seeing my friends for boardgames on zoom. I know that I can learn new things and call people that I never had time to call before now I have all the time in the world because, well, it's like this. What we do have at our fingertips is a calm, slow-paced, small project-based world, where I have a job to do, tasks to complete, lawns to mow, toys to fix, and dinners to make. I have 170 students to care about, to worry about, to think about, to check in on because they are mine. It's like this being a teacher. It's like this now but it won't be this forever, it will go back to what it was and we will forget because that is what we do. So, for now, it might be hard but I know it will get better, and we can do this for a while, because for a while and only a while, it's like this. Richard Hortness

Don’t worry! The happening of Covid-19 is an inevitable disaster in our lives. However, it is also a special experience. My history teacher told us that maybe one day our words would become the valuable primary source for history. I know we left a lot of regrets. But be positive. At least covid-19 allows us to spend more time with our families.

Covid-19 has changed our world and our life style. However, we can only adapt to the changes in the environment. However, we still have our own responsibilities. As a student, I have to do my homework in front of my laptop, take online classes, and reply to teachers. We are all responsible. But hopefully these days will pass soon.

this time of our lives definitely flipped upside down, and we all struggle with our own problems. but we all find different ways to make the best of our days, and it can be from playing board game on zoom like you said, to so many different things. we just have to put our mind to it. hopefully this chaos takes a dip, and we can go back to a normal environment soon.

This new world is crazy and in it is influencing all of us. We should do the best of it and trying to grow as humans. Lets hope that this time will be over before the school year is ending.

I know his sudden change in everyones life is difucult for many and not always a lot of fun but your perspective as a teacher that enjoys their job sounds very sad. I like that you noed that you can use this time for yourself and to also grow and learn to be a better teacher, I hope tat everyoe els can take this time and use it to grow.

I know times are very stressful at the moment, trying to transition to an online platform. Everyone is having to come to terms with this change, it is a struggle, but we are all doing the best we can. Like you said hopefully this will be over soon!

It's as though this situation seems to feel like forever, and some will lose hope. Keeping an open mind through this tough time is most important, and yes adjusting to our new environment is hard, but you're not alone. Staying connected with friends and family is important. We must work as a community to fight this - there's no "i" in team.

I think that this was super powerful because everybody can relate to this right now. I really like how you tied this in with everything we learned last week because it’s something we can all talk about. I think this is a really strong way for people to look on the bright side of things and to work our way through this challenging world right now.

I can understand that everyday may seem like the last. For a while I felt like that myself. I chose to do the same routine everyday and once I noticed I was feeling off I quickly switched things up. I went on.bike rides with my friends and noticed how much happier I was to be doing something diffrent everyday, even in these trying times.

I really enjoyed this message because it's important to know that it will not always be like this, and that we have to keep our heads up and be grateful.
