Money is not omnipotent, but no money is absolutely impossible. This is a well-known saying. It is true that 70% or even more of human troubles are related to money, but most people are often unexpectedly blind when dealing with money. Most people think that as long as I have a high income, or as long as my current income increases by 10%, any financial problems in life will be solved, but there are too many examples in life that ruthlessly overturn this view, such as Most people who win the lottery will return to the original point of wealth in a short period of time, or even worse. In fact, an increase in income often leads to an increase in expenses, which leads to more troubles! K In fact, money also has management principles, so what is the principle of managing our money: 1. Develop the habit of keeping accounts. Write down every penny of the words on the paper, so that we can clearly see where every penny of ours has gone. 2. Make a financial budget that suits you. It is the spending budget. The true meaning of the budget is to make our lives more secure when we live according to our own budget. 3.Increase income outside of work. This can make your budget more adequate and enjoy life better. There are many side jobs, pay more attention to your surroundings. 4.The increase in income does not mean the increase in expenditure. Now is a society full of material desires, and people's income is getting higher and higher. The pleasure of dopamine produced by consumption is far inferior to the pain and anxiety caused by fiscal deficits. We all want a higher level of life enjoyment, but in the long run, keeping our expenses within our budget can bring us more happiness. Kaelen F

Yes! Very useful tips that I agree with. I recently started tracking my expenses and I never realized how much money I wasted on food lol. and clothes too, but mostly food haha. These days it's so easy to spend money too because almost everything is online, so you don't have to leave your house or see a physical decrease of your money. I think adopting a side hustle is a great suggestion because if you have the time and passion for it, why not right? More exciting in life than a simple 9-5 job. As a teenager I'm guilty of making impulse purchases but I am glad you wrote this topic for your blog because it's my reminder to stop spending money carelessly lol.

Thanks for a great view on how to manage your money, I always find myself a bit worried about wether or not I’ll have enough money in the future. Although I wholeheartedly believe we have to keep expenses to the minimum to keep financially stable, I also think it’s okay to buy something that’s unnecessary every once in awhile. For me, I kinda like the thought of items enhancing happiness to an extent. :)

This is a vert relatable blog Kaelen! Learning how to manage money at a young age is a skill that everyone at this age should know more about. I agree with your point that anxiety can be created due to financial problems many people face on a daily basis, and it is all about creating a balanced lifestyle. I didn't know that people who win the lottery end up paying more in taxes and return a sum of their wealth. Great blog!

Great advice thank you ! I am so guilty of spending money , especially, online with no thought to really what I’m buying. I have a savings account but it’s hard to actually save without wanting to take money out . I liked the side job idea , I babysat before covid and also had a typical job, I found it was nice to have the extra bit of cash, especially when they payed better at the side babysitting job .

I think this is a very important topic! I know many people that spend money as soon as they make it on unnecessary things. Then they complain about how they have no money. This was very educational blog and I appreciate your share on this topic. Thanks for giving steps on how to manage money better I think lots of people would agree it is very beneficial. Personally, I have the opposite problem. I hate spending money and I'm always trying to find the best deals or cheapest way of doing things which can also be a problem.

Thank you for your insights! Money, and how I spend it, is most often used not very responsibly or smart. With Covid I have definitely fallen victim to spending lots of my money shopping online in little amounts, not realizing how much it actually adds up to be, and then wondering where all my money went. I think these tips you mentioned are extremely helpful and I will definitely try to start budgeting better, especially in the near future. As we get older and start to be on our own, I hope to be more financially responsible, your blog will be a great guide to navigate me.

This is very immpressive, money is an essential stuff in human society. Just like a word says "Money is not omnipotent, but you cannot do anything without money." We really need a good method to manage our financial budget to create a healthy financial environment. Thanks for your sharing.

so trueeeeeeee!!!! i agree with you when it comes to money being a crisis for us humans to deal with. well mathematically i can for sure not be helpful for this but i believe that if we are financially stable enough in life to make us happy why need more. i guess some crave to be rich or have that "luxurious" life, but that not whats important. yes, a nice expensive vacation would be nice, i mean all of us can agree with me on this? right?!?! money can be quite hard to understand personally, and my father is an accountant and he keeps telling me about these things that i don't understand, which will be important later in life but from what i can tell; as life keeps moving forward its going to get more expensive in every aspect. wont be easy to adapt too :/

Hey Kaelen, I thought this was a super informative and smart topic to write a blog about. I can definitely relate to this topic as I enjoy spending money but I don't really have a budget and can end up overspending. Since I am going to university next year, I will need to implement a budget, and have a better idea of where my money is going. I thought that you explained the importance of a budget really well and I will have to try some of the tips you listed to help.

Hi Kaelen! I loved this blog topic. I think that it's really important for people our age to start thinking about money as we go into the real world. A lot of us are going to be moving out and possibly across the country or the world, and we're going to have to learn how to manage our money in a smarter way. I also really liked how you said to come up with different sources of money. I think that it is not only a good way to enjoy life a bit more, but it can also help your budget because you are not dependent on one source. Those were awesome tips that I think I will start using!

I agree with this blog, they also do say “more money more problems”. Having the same median income as most of the rest of the Canadian/American population is the best place to be in my opinion. Working hard for everything you own definitely makes you value it a hundred times more. I am working on my saving and making good choices as well as I prepare myself to move out and carry on to university more independent.

Thank you for sharing Kaelen! Many people our age have part time jobs and are at the point where we have to start managing our finances. I know lots of people who are saving for university, cars, or simple things they want. Some of these people do struggle though with impulse buying or spending paychecks once they are received. I found the tips you included very helpful, ideas that I will be implementing and passing along to friends.
