2020 is an unforgettable year in human history that has entirely messed up our “peaceful” society. But have you ever thought about the fact that our human beings have never lived in a peaceful world? There are tons of potential dangers we don’t know are affecting our society that can lead to war in a sudden. Therefore, it is time to improve our stress resistance right away in order to avoid unexpectations.
Overall, I think the most important tip is still your experience in society. Pandemic is a “superclass” for anyone, because most of them have experienced such a sudden event in their life. Nevertheless, it is not a bad thing either, maybe we will never encounter this kind of situation in the future without pandemic. This time we have no reasons to be scared in front of any difficulties because they are so easy to confront compared to pandemic’s influence. My dad told me a word when I was young, “Everything you’ve done and experienced is meaningful.” Once we experience them, nothing is valuable to be scared of.

I very much agree with the approach of following global news every day. We spend hours on our mobile phones every day, and many of them are doing unnecessary social interactions. However, it is a good way to learn about social news and the social situation on time. thank you for your sharing! ! !

I love the point you made about the pandemic not only being a negative thing. The pandemic has left many dead or unemployed but in the midst of all that it is sometimes good to focus on the positive. So here are three positive things that stuck out to me, we were able to create a new and better way of making vaccines, carbon emissions dropped while everyone was in quarantine and we all learnt a lot more about germs and sanitation.

Hey Jerry! I really like this blog topic. I think it is really important to learn how to adapt to stress, and I loved that you mentioned that this is important with or without the pandemic that is going on. I really liked how you had a list of things and that the list was very descriptive and covered a broad range of topics. I think it is awesome that you have lots of different things that you talked about. My favourite ones are the optimistic outlook, the planning (which has helped me a lot) and looking for opportunities. I thought the most interesting was the news one though.

Thank you for sharing Jerry! I agree with you that building resistance to stress is so important! Especially with the pandemic, we have all had to adapt to new ways of daily life which can bring lots of stress upon us. I really liked how you included a list of actions we can all take to build this resistance. The list is helpful as sometimes we don't know how or where to start to help build these skills for ourselves.

Thank you jerry for the tips! I agree, especially because we are still living in covid, stress can still be a prominent and hard thing to cope with. I definitely feel stressed with so much school work these days, so I will definitely try to be more stress resistant to help with that work load.

This was a great blog Jerry! I do agree with you that there are many other world problems happening every single day that are tucked away because of the global pandemic news that is frequent on the news. The words that your dad spoke to you gave me hope that everything in life will work itself out. If I put meaning and effort in the little things I do, to listen to what is happing on the news and find time to take care of the ones I love. I think my life will have a lot of meaning to it. Trying to experience things as best as we can and not cram everything into one moment is the best way to just let things come and go as we experience life. Thank you for sharing about this topic.

Jerry loves this blog so much !! I love the quote your dad said to you . I completely agree especially when you say to be a logical thinker. During the pandemic I feel like everyone has gone a little crazy, especially when there was a shortage of toilet paper. We’ve never experienced this before but i totally agree not to totally let your emotions over take you and be more logical ! This has definitely taught us a lot moving foward

Yeah it’s kinda reassuring to know that we’re all in the same boat, through the pandemic.

I believe that this is an important blog that explains the importance of stress resistance. Stress is something that everyone gets on a daily basis and it is really easy to get overwhelmed from it. So finding tricks or habits to do that help with stress is very helpful. An example I do is that I keep a planner, and write down whatever assignments I have to do and when my tests are. I find it very helpful since it helps keep my stress down and to be more organized and to use time management. This is a good blog for explaining what you can do to help keep the stress down in your life. Shows better examples to keep stress down so you don’t implode on a friend who is only trying to help you.

This is a beautiful written blog. Stress resistance is extremely important coming from someone who has let anxiety control their life. It takes lots of careful practice and self determination to decide to be in charge.

Hey Jerry! I think stress resistance / management is super important especially in these uncertain times. I think with the added stress on everyone during school or work that it's now more important than ever to have an outlet of relaxation. I thought your blog was well written and I liked all the suggestions you had to help be prepared and to manage stress levels. Thank you!

I really liked reading this blog. How you talked about stress and mentioned even if there was no pandemic going on that it is still important to acknowledge. Having a way to relax is probably the best thing we can all do now because we are all in our houses when we aren't at school. I tend to plan a lot with classes because then I know what to do when. Yes sometimes things slip my mind and I forget about my list of things but it happens. Using that calms me down because once I check everything off I feel way more relieved than I was before.
